If we talk about growth opportunity and job security, it is good to work on the Call of Duty license. A few days after the announcement of a new Infinity Ward studio, it is the turn of Sledgeammer Games to grow a little with the opening of premises based in Guildford.
Founded in 2009 in Foster City, Sledgehammer Games had already opened an Australian studio in Melbourne in 2019 and a Canadian studio in Toronto last May. While the studio is preparing to deliver Call of Duty: Vanguard , Sledgehammer Games no longer ends up and settles in the UK to attract the talents from the corner, under the direction of Liz Wyle, named Executive Director of SledgeHammer Guildford.
As we have done it on our other sites, we will seek partnerships with schools and universities to promote the development of the next generation of talent. It s not just about finding people who work Already in the sector, but also to offer access roads to those looking to enter , explains Andy Wilson, the Director of Operations by Sledgehammer Games.
At first, the Guildford studio will join the Foster City, Melbourne and Toronto teams to feed the seasons of Call of Duty: Vanguard and work on future unnecessary projects. Since its creation, Sledgehammer Games has also worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 , Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Call of Duty: WWII .
