Posthume Honorable Gerd M ller is awarded as a legend of the sport

The award is made on the 39th German sports pressball in Frankfurt am Main on 6th November. Gerd Müllers Widow Uschi Müller has agreed to the honor. In consultation with the family, the former national team colleague Rainer Bonhof will receive the Pegasos price on behalf of the Pegasos.

Gerd Müller played from 1964 to 1979 for FC Bayern Munich. With fabulous 398 goals in 453 Bundesliga games, he is not only the record shooter of FC Bayern, but also the Bundesliga. For the national team he scored between 1966 and 1974 68 goals in 62 international matches and was therefore also a long time German record shooter. In June 2014, he had to decline this record after almost 40 years of Miroslav Klose. Müller was built with the national team of 1972 European champion and 1974 World Champion, in the final in Munich against the Netherlands he achieved the 2: 1 victory goal. With FC Bayern, he celebrated four championship titles and four cup visions, seven times the bomber of the nation also brought the November gatebuese cannon. Müller died on 15 August at the age of 75 years.
